Work hours per week: 40 hours (8 per day 5 days per week)

Location: Leiden

Salary range: € 2750 - € 3750 (gross per month)

As a Financial Administrator you will assist the Finance Manager & Senior Controller in administrative tasks and management reporting. You will be accountable for the accuracy of all data in our internal and external customer files.


- Performing the day-to-day processing of Accounts Receivable (AR) invoicing as well as customer payments to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and AR balances (this includes contacting customers)
- Processing and reconciling bank statements
- Reviewing incoming purchase invoices for compliance, processing these according to the company procedures and ensuring to obtain budget holder approvals
- Organizing, preparing and leading periodic stakeholder meetings
- Adding new vendors as needed and updating vendor master data
- Managing expense reimbursement (ensuring appropriate documentation is submitted and processing reimbursement to employees as needed)
- Formalizing and updating work instructions and financial procedures
- Providing accounting support and documentation as required by audits
- Preparing journal entries for all accounts with supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP
- Handling international payroll administrations and preparing (international) salary and benefits payments
- Managing and maintaining cashflow and treasury management
- Preparing monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Ensuring all activities, entries and reporting for month-end close are completed within the deadline
- Support with compliance reporting (like VAT, ICP, Intrastat), pension and payroll processing including payments
- Relationship management with internal customers, including but not limited to requirements analysis
- Performing ad-hoc tasks required by management including, amongst others, research, reporting, analysis and reconciliations
